Great couple of days away in the cottage lodge Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. Food in the hotel was great and would recommend it. Cottage had a bit of a musty smell, but that probably age and location, however it was really well decorated and furnished and wouldn't put us off booking again.

Stopped here for dinner on a Friday evening. Warm welcome from reception and first class service in the restaurant. We had haddock morney and chicken fillet burger in panko crumbs with sides. The meal was one of the best we have had in a long time. Many compliments to the chef and staff.

What a place to stay host was brilliant rooms were lovely with big beds and food was 5 stars from anyone . Enjoy this place as a hub to explore the surroundings

Stayed recently with my bearded collie. And I can’t recommend the hotel enough.. the room was lovely and the staff were all amazing so friendly and welcoming…. But let me tell you the food was superb from evening dinner through to breakfast it was all perfect. My dog was made very welcome too, provided with treats and a breakfast sausage in the pet dining room. I would greatly recommend staying here, and I shall definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not a place to stop at usually but a clean tidy hotel. The Staff were helpful and friendly. The staff went the extra mile. Please note that Tuesday night is pizza and sandwich night, the main menu is unavailable.

Leuk hotel, met goed ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Kamer was wat fraai maar prima voor een paar nachten. Ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed verzorgd.

We were disappointed to find that we could only eat pizza or sandwiches for the evening meals. The Staff however were great and very polite and helpful. The beds need replacing asap. The location was good and the parking was easy. The hotel just needs some tlc.

Een van de fijnste hotels waar we ooit gelogeerd hebben. Het is een heerlijk huiselijk hotel, het voelt echt als thuiskomen door het interieur. Toen er zorgen omtrent mijn partner waren, hebben de dames mij zo goed geholpen. Ze waren zo vriendelijk, geduldig en bezorgd. Ik ben ze heel erg dankbaar. Hele gezellige kamers, er loopt een rivier langs die je met je raam open ook hoort stromen, de vogeltjes die fluiten. Er is een gezellige huiskamer ingericht waar je spelletjes kunt doen, je kunt er 8-ball spelen. Er is meer dan genoeg parkeerplaats en als je de brug oversteekt zit er een Post Office waar ze van alles verkopen; etenswaren, groenten en fruit, schoonmaakspullen en medicatie. Het eten, zowel 's ochtends als 's avonds, is heerlijk en wordt met veel zorg bereid. De dames van de bediening zijn ook heel erg vriendelijk. Met het uitchecken hoef je alleen maar je kamersleutel in een bakje achter te laten, hoe handig. Ga hier absoluut naar toe, het is een aanrader. Bridge of Cally Hotel heeft voor altijd een speciaal plekje in mijn hart en wanneer ik ooit Schotland weer bezoek, ga ik hier zeker weer naar toe. Bedankt voor het fijne verblijf!

**EDITED** Following my initial review (below), the owner of the hotel group called me to apologise for our experience and explain what had gone wrong during our visit to the restaurant. This was much appreciated. // My wife and I booked a table for dinner at the Bridge of Cally Hotel tonight (9th Aug) at 7:30pm. We arrived around 7:15pm and were happy to be seated, but a member of staff (who we later found out was the Restaurant “Manager”) informed us that we could sit but he wouldn’t be able to take our order for a while. We decided to grab a drink in the bar, assuming that if we asked to be seated closer to the time we’d booked that we’d be able to order then. We were seated around 7:35pm and waited 15 minutes to place our orders. As well as ordering mains, we ordered two glasses of wine and water for the table. This was at 7:50pm (I know for sure as I checked, already fearing things weren’t going to go smoothly!). By 8:10pm, still no food, wine or water, so we politely chased our order. The Restaurant “Manager” kept telling us the chef was “backed up” and food would be out as soon as possible. Around 8:15pm, the wine arrived - but by 8:30, 40 minutes after we’d ordered, still no water or food. At this point, I picked up the two glasses on our table and walked over to the bar to ask for some tap water. Time kept ticking by, and by 8:55, there was still no sign of food. 1 hour & 20 minutes after we’d been seated, and over an hour since we’d ordered. When the Restaurant “Manager” approached our table & said “Your food shouldn’t be too much longer.”, we’d had enough and decided to leave. I was prepared to pay for the two glasses of wine we’d had, but a member of bar staff told me there was no charge due to the inconvenience. Yes, it was busy, but they took our booking, and could’ve informed us that there was a lengthy wait for food when we arrived or when they seated us, but never did. Having to ask for water three times before fetching it myself was just unbelievable. The whole experience was absolutely shocking and I’d never return to this hotel. Thanks for ruining our night!

A lovely roadside inn, set in beautiful surroundings. The food was excellent and the service was superb. And The Bridge of Cally Hotel is very dog friendly as well! 100% recommended 😃

Nice place nice staff pizza was really disappointing especially for almost £40 base and sauce was really nice but was spoilt by so much cheddar that was really strong and overpowering and just kinda fell of the pizza also could of been left to cook a bit longer over all if it had mozzarella instead and was cooked longer it would be really good

6 of us & 2 dogs visited last week while holidaying in Scotland. The whole restaurant was immaculate, including the dog area. Staff were absolutely brilliant. So smartly dressed, friendly, polite, attentive and so helpful with the menu. We had lasagne, steak & stout pie, venison casserole, fish & chips and chicken breast burger. Every one of our party thought their food was outstanding. It was a wet day when we visited, but the beer garden was really lovely, right next to a riverside walk trail. We'll certainly be back with no hesitation the next time we're in the area.

We stayed here for two nights on a trip to the Highlands last week. The rooms were super clean, the two dinners we had were delicious, and the service was excellent. The hotel was was in an excellent location to make a day trip up to Balmoral!

Nice room thats it staff not got a clue food horrendous and overpriced beer water flat overpriced @VAT ON TOP of the price I stay in hotels all over Scotland ( for work ) avoid this place like the plague I'm sorry but I have nothing good to say about it

Excellent restaurant et petit déjeuner très très copieux. Salon agréable pour savourer une délicieuse pint... Très belle variété de gin avec conseils avisés. Personnel agréable.

Prima hotel. Prachtige omgeving. Het avondeten zouden wij nooit meer doen. Het was heel zout! Had andere revieuw's gelezen. Dus we waren echt onaangenaam verrast over de slechte kwaliteit. Ook het ontbijt was niet super. Een medium gekookt ei was gewoon rauw. Personeel in de ochtend ontzettend vriendelijk. Een Poolse jonge dame was erg behulpzaam en zorgzaam In de avond waren ze niet heel vriendelijk. Een jonge dame was ronduit onbeschoft. De manager was ook niet erg vriendelijk. Kamer wisselen ivm trappen lopen was geen probleem. Konden zo naar de beganegrond toe verhuizen. Deze kamer was verder prima. Wel gedateerd maar prima verder. Geen extra kosten voor hoeven betalen. Prachtige omgeving! Ook direct vanuit het hotel.

Stopped here for lunch in the hotel restaurant. Plenty of parking across from the hotel. Staff were super attentive, polite, and friendly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, light, and airy with a lovely view over looking the bridge. The menu was large with a varied choice for most palettes. We had the lasagne, Angus burger with blue cheese and the chicken Milanese. Portion sizes were large, lovely presentation and fresh salad and tasted lovely. Overall beautiful place and would come again if in the area.

First time we had stayed at the Bridge Of Cally Hotel, nice welcome and the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was large and had everything we needed, we ate in the restaurant and the food was really good. Be aware the drinks ain't cheap £7.50 for a pint of Mahou, London prices ☹️ it's a cash free hotel as well, they have a pool table that's £1 a game but can't give you change from the bar as there's no cash 🤔
